About the Author

The love of reading and writing came early for me. I read anything I could get my hands on, and at the age of ten, had tackled James Michener's Hawaii. I would scour through my mother's books and worked my way through reading all of them. Then it was about trekking to the library or using my allowance to head to the book store to buy more.

My appreciation for the written word continued and evolved into responding to colleagues requests for help in editing their work, which lead to developing my own editing business, which lead to a career as an author.

When writing, my inspiration comes from Rachmaninoff's Concerto No. 2 playing in the background. I enjoy playing the piano, but as yet, haven't dared, and probably never will, tackle his concerto.

I grew up in the erratic and sometimes unforgiving climate of Wisconsin and now happily reside in the gentler weather of California.
